North Carolina Football's Failure to Launch

The Tar Heels have failed to establish any sort of offensive rhythm from the opening kickoff. In UNC’s loss to Duke on Sept. 23, five of its first six possessions resulted in three-and-outs. The Tar Heels ran 25 offensive plays for 67 yards in those opening six drives. Against Georgia Tech, UNC’s first six possessions consisted of 32 plays, 87 yards and four three-and-outs.
