Smith Center match offers UNC volleyball rare opportunity in 3-1 win over Virginia Tech

The stands were packed Friday at the Smith Center, but it wasn’t for the men’s basketball team, which usually takes the court. It was UNC's volleyball team locked in for a match against Virginia Tech, looking to right its season before Late Night With Roy. The match's official attendance was 19,246, which set a new record for the largest crowd in NCAA volleyball history.
