Tar Heels Tab Steinbacher To Head Athletic Marketing & Promotions

Rick Steinbacher, former Tar Heel football captain and director of operations, is the University of North Carolina's new associate athletic director for marketing and promotions, UNC director of athletics Dick Baddour announced today. Steinbacher, 34, worked the last six years under head coaches Carl Torbush and John Bunting overseeing a wide variety of football-related administrative duties. They included day-to-day operations, travel, admissions and team personnel. He also has spent seven years (1994-99 and 2005) on the Tar Heel Sports Network broadcast team. (Tar Heel Blue)
