UNC-Asheville to play Tar Heels in basketball

For a second straight season, the UNC Asheville men’s basketball team will play North Carolina. In a 2006-07 schedule set to be released later today, the Bulldogs will travel to Chapel Hill on Dec. 16 to face the Tar Heels and coach Roy Williams, an Asheville native. Game time hasn’t been determined. The Bulldogs received over $50,000 last season to play UNC, a game won by the Tar Heels 89-47.
