Foot injury sidelines UNC safety Goddard for season

Starting North Carolina strong safety Trimane Goddard will miss the 2006 season with a foot injury, the school announced Tuesday. The 5-11, 192-pound Goddard, a junior, will redshirt this season after fracturing the fifth metatarsal in his left foot over the weekend. He will undergo surgery on his foot Wednesday. (ESPN.com)
