Diamond Heels In The Pros Update

Eighteen former Tar Heels have played in professional baseball in 2006, including three in the major leagues. A fourth should join that group in September when 2006 national player of the year Andrew Miller is expected to join the American League Central-leading Detroit Tigers. He signed on Friday and will begin his pro career with the Class A Lakeland Tigers. (Tar Heel Blue)
