Notre Dame basketball gets commitment from three-star recruit Chris Doherty

Three-star small forward Chris Doherty plans to join his AAU teammate Nate Laszewski at Notre Dame. Doherty committed Monday to play for the Irish. The 6-foot-7, 225-pound Doherty is from Marlborough, Mass. and the No. 55 small forward in the 247Sports.com composite rankings. Rutgers and Vermont were among the schools he reportedly considered.
