NC State adds forward Derek Funderburk to 2018 basketball class

Former Ohio State forward Derek Funderburk signed a National Letter of Intent Tuesday to play for NC State. Originally in the class of 2016, Funderburk redshirted a season ago for Ohio State. After OSU fired coach Thad Matta in June, new head coach Chris Holtmann dismissed Funderburk from the team for a "failure to meet team expectations."
