SMU committed secondary violation under Doherty

Less than four months into his new job, SMU men's basketball coach Matt Doherty finds his program reporting another NCAA rules violation. SMU reported a secondary violation to the NCAA and Conference USA on June 26. The violation concerns an SMU coach who watched several players work out in the off-season. It's the second time rules violations have occurred within the program this year. (Dallas Morning News)
