Bill Dooley recovering from surgery at home

Bill Dooley spent seven weeks at Duke University Hospital following emergency surgery for an aortic aneurysm, but he returned to his Wrightsville Beach home two weeks ago. He undergoes physical therapy three times a week and considers himself lucky to be alive. "I was fortunate,'' he said. Dooley collapsed in April after emceeing a National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame function in Durham. (Wilmington Star News)
