Tar Heels withstand Notre Dame, win for third time in five days

Joel Berry scored 21 points as No. 14 North Carolina withstood a few second-half Notre Dame rallies in an 83-66 victory Monday at the Smith Center. UNC won three ACC games in a five-day span and has 20 wins for the 14th time in Roy Williams’ 15 seasons. Theo Pinson’s 16 points, Kenny Williams’ 14 and Cameron Johnson’s 13 bolstered the Tar Heels.
