Despite a trio of leadoff hits, North Carolina was unable to overcome No. 24 South Carolina, falling 5-0 to the Gamecocks in Columbia, South Carolina on Tuesday. The Tar Heels even up their record to 5-5 on the season. Sierra Parkinson and Destiny DeBerry led UNC at the plate, both going 2-for-3, while Leah Murray and Kiani Ramsey each logged hits.
