Vince Carter relishes his role mentoring Sacramento Kings’ youngsters

Even though the Kings carried a 20-45 record into their game Friday night against the Orlando Magic at Golden 1 Center, Vince Carter has enjoyed spending the season in a reserve role and mentoring the Kings’ youth-laden roster. “I think helping them helps me,” Carter said Friday. “I love being around that type of energy. I want to get better, even at this age.”
