Rodney Hutchison Throws Complete Game Shutout, Diamond Heels win 1-0

Rodney Hutchison threw a complete game shutout for the Tar Heels Tuesday as they defeated North Carolina A&T, 1-0. Hutchison, who tied a career high with seven strikeouts, is the first Tar Heel to throw a complete game shutout since Zac Gallen did so against Virginia Tech in 2016. The lone, game-winning Tar Heel run came in the bottom of the fifth inning.
