#2. North Carolina – Criticize John Bunting if you like, but the Tar Heels have not shied away from competition during his tenure. This season, UNC hosts rising national programs Rutgers and South Florida, both bowl teams, and travels to Notre Dame to face Charlie Weis, Brady Quinn and the Irish in South Bend. There is no time for a learning curve, either. UNC opens with Rutgers and Coastal division rival Virginia Tech. North Carolina plays nine reigning bowl teams from 2005. (Southern Pigskin)
