Lucas: Carignan Thrives Under Pressure
Thursday, June 08, 2006
"You have to be a bulldog to be a closer," Carignan says. "Everybody on the team jokes about me being cocky. But that's what I want to be like out there. If I wasn't like that, I wouldn't be nearly as successful." Andrew Carignan does possess a certain presence on the mound. His fastball can touch the mid-90s, and although his 5-foot-11 height isn't particularly imposing, he has a way of owning the mound that makes him appear constantly in command. (Tar Heel Blue)
