UNC Softball Blanks Wolfpack 8-0 for Series Win

The Tar Heels set the tone early, scoring six runs in the first two innings en route to a 8-0 shutout victory over NC State for the series win on Monday evening. Brittany Pickett not only pitched her second complete-game shutout of the series, but also went 2-for-3 with a three-run home run and the game-winning RBI-single in the sixth to tie a single-game career high.
