Chapel Hill Regional notebook: It's a small world
Posted Jun 3, 2006
Scott Forbes remembers his reaction when he saw the pairings on the selection show. "I was like, 'Wow. No way,' " he said. It wasn't enough that North Carolina's pitching coach was going to be in an NCAA Tournament regional with his best friend, UNC Wilmington pitching coach Scott Jackson. Forbes also was going to share a regional with his former employer, Winthrop. Today at 5 p.m., Forbes will sit in the dugout opposite of the one housing some of the players he helped recruit.
