UNC rallies as Cox gets back on track


North Carolina junior Jay Cox was healthy and hungry Friday night. That proved to be a potent combination. Cox, swinging free and easy again after battling a sore back for a couple of weeks, homered and drove in a season-high five runs to power the top-seeded Tar Heels to a 15-7 victory over Maine at Boshamer Stadium in the first round of NCAA regional baseball play.
