Cetera DeGraffenreid commits to Lady Heels

Cetera DeGraffenreid, the reigning Citizen-Times All-WNC Player of the Year announced her oral commitment to the Tar Heels Wednesday, selecting coach Sylvia Hatchell’s program over a long list of schools that included LSU, Georgia, Vanderbilt and Virginia Tech. North Carolina began putting out feelers to DeGraffenreid back when she was an eighth-grader at Cullowhee Valley School. In 2002, DeGraffenreid broke the middle school’s scoring record with 60 points in a game. (Asheville Citizen-Times)
