ACC announces early football TV schedule


The Tar Heels will open the season Sept. 2 with a home game against Rutgers to be broadcast by ABC at 3:30 p.m., and a week later their ACC opener at home against Virginia Tech will kick off at noon on ESPN. The Tar Heels also will play a Thursday night game, Oct. 19 at Virginia on ESPN, and their Nov. 4 game at Notre Dame was already set for a 2:30 p.m. kickoff on NBC. Nine of UNC's 11 games last season appeared on television. (Durham Herald-Sun)
