Top of the world: Buford’s Curry choosing between football, baseball in college
Posted May 29, 2006
After a season in which Justin Curry rarely saw the football field for Buford, his senior year was the complete opposite. Curry was a monster from his defensive end position, recording 92 tackles and leading the county in sacks. By the time National Signing Day came in February, Curry didn’t sign a letter of intent, but was planning to gray shirt at North Carolina, the same school his father played for. By gray shirting, Curry would enroll at UNC in January of 2007 and would not count towards the Tar Heels’ scholarship total until next year.
