As Hurricanes miss NCAA Tournament, coach Jim Morris' career at Miami ends

Jim Morris had hoped, until the end, that he wouldn’t have to address his Hurricanes for the final time on this cloudy, dreary day. But after the 64-team NCAA Tournament field was announced just after noon on Monday and the Hurricanes did not hear their name called for a second straight year, the reality set in — Miami’s season was over. So, too, was Morris’ storied 25-year run as Hurricanes coach. It was a moment that proved emotional for both the coach and his players.
