Wright Choice
Posted May 21, 2006
Ask the fans, and they'll say they remember the highlight-reel slams. Brentwood Academy's Brandan Wright, the tallest man and freakiest athlete on the court, would glide along the baseline, rise from the floor and try to crumble the rim with a dunk. But the guys underneath those dunks, and the coaches who watched slack-jawed on the sidelines, remember something else: A lot of guys dunk, but not many unfurl an 88-inch wingspan to do so.
