Heels take Coastal title

North Carolina's fifth-ranked baseball team capped its most successful regular season on Saturday with a win that followed the banner year's frequent formula for success: Mix strong starting pitching, reliable relief and timely hitting, and chalk up a Tar Heels 'W.' On Saturday, and two relievers combined on a six-hitter as the Heels topped Boston College 5-1 to complete a series sweep of the Eagles at Boshamer Stadium and clinch the Coastal Division title in the ACC.
