Tar Heels To Open Season In NIT Season Tip-Off

The University of North Carolina will open the 2006-07 men's college basketball season on Tuesday, November 14, against Sacred Heart in the opening round of the NIT Season Tip-off. The game will be played in Charlotte, N.C. at the Charlotte Bobcats Arena as part of a two-day doubleheader. Winthrop and Iona square off in the other game. Winners and losers play each other the following day, November 15, also in Charlotte. (Tar Heel Blue)
