With apologies to John Henson’s shot-blocking brilliance in 2011 and 2012, Haywood’s senior season (2001) is still Carolina’s gold standard for swatting; 49. Tommy Kearns (1955-58, PG, 5-11, Bergenfield, N.J.) Kearns averaged 12.8 PPG as the starting point guard for UNC's undefeated 1957 national champs.
