Ed Davis leaves Portland Trail Blazers for Brooklyn Nets

Ed Davis, the Portland Trail Blazers ' popular backup center, is signing a 1-year, $4.4 million free agent contract with the Brooklyn Nets , a league source confirmed to The Oregonian/OregonLive. Davis, whose hustle-infused, blue-collar playing style endeared him to both fans and teammates, quietly evolved into a one of the most important pieces on the Blazers' roster.
