Tate continues upswing

Brandon Tate showed last fall what he can do with a football in his hands. The former Cummings High School standout figures to receive more chances to display those skills in his second college season. Tate earned rave reviews from teammates following North Carolina’s spring scrimmage last month. A surprising contributor last fall as a punt and kickoff returner, Tate is hoping to work his way into the rotation at receiver when the season begins Sept. 2 against Rutgers.
