San Francisco 49ers guard Jonathan Cooper has been benched, traded, released and injured. His injuries help explain why despite being the No. 7 pick out of UNC in the 2013 draft — Cooper was the highest drafted guard in 27 years — he’s been with five NFL teams in the past 29 months. And they also explain why he needed little prompting to discuss his health in a recent interview.
