I've updated the UNC football depth chart as of the start of Week 1 game prep (8/19). This is by no means official, but it's the best I could do using limited injury and practice reports. I'll post the final version once it's announced by UNC, but feel free to chime in with your thoughts and/or updates:

8/20 update: Harold Gutmann of the Durham Herald Sun tweets the following:

If season started today, Jon Heck would be the right tackle and T.J. Thorpe would return punts. Kick return still TBA

A couple more updates to the depth chart on Friday: Singleton, Davis, and Tapley are starting wide receivers. Nathan Staub will be starting at middle linebacker, although there had been recent talk that Jeff Schoettmer would be starting at the position. Apparently Staub has recovered from his reported knee injury. Right tackle and punt returner are still up for grabs: http://www.tarheeltimes.com/football/depth-chart.aspx

Few notes from the depth chart out today - Singleton joins Tapley and Quinshad at starting WR, Morris starting at TB, Staub at MLB.

Still a battle at LT between Heck, Holts and Appel, Thorpe and Switzer leading candidates at punt return.
