Video: Zion Williamson Dominates Adidas Finale

Zion Williamson is back from injury and is showing the world once again that he's the most dominant player in high school basketball. Here are his highlights from the Adidas Finale in Spartanburg, SC. View Video...

Coby White, Rechon Black update from Peach Jam

The nation’s top recruits are participating in the Peach Jam. That includes two 2018 UNC recruits Coby White and Rechon Black. The two are teammates for Team CP3 which finished 1-4 in round robin play, failing to advance to the next stage of the tournament. But with the team's struggles, one thing remains consistent. White continues to show how good of a player he is even while hurt. (Keeping It Heel)

One-On-One With 2019 Five-Star Armando Bacot

In the best shape of his life, while keeping his well-honed low-post skill-set, Armando Bacot has established himself as one of the premier big men in the class of 2019. Let’s go to UNC. You mentioned them. What do you know about the Tar Heels? "I talked to Hubert Davis twice since then. He’s been recruiting me hard, but I haven’t really heard that much from Roy Williams." Zion Williamson Discusses Recruitment

North Carolina is another school close to Zion Williamson and they are showing tons of interest. “North Carolina is recruiting me. Since Coach McGrath left, Hubert Davis is my main recruiter right now. They already have two commitments, Rechon Black and Coby White and they keep on saying if I join than we would be stronger and could win a national championship.” (Make Playz)

Zion Williamson is a man among boys and this block proves it

Zion Williamson — a high school basketball player who turned 17 years old last week and won’t begin his senior year until next month — is already more famous than at least 30 percent of the NBA. You have probably seen Williamson’s ultra-powerful dunks on social media hundreds of times. Zion Williamson can do more than dunk. He can also destroy you with a block. (SB Nation)

Peach Jam: Future Tar Heels Leaky Black, Coby White team up

Fresh off his third national championship, Roy Williams wasn’t forced to split time between gyms or choose between his future stars at Peach Jam. His two commitments for 2018, guards Leaky Black and Coby White, joined forces on Team CP3 this summer, making it easy for Williams to watch his future players in his white UNC pullover with a not-so-subtle 2017 Final Four logo. Adidas Gauntet Finale: Who coaches were watching

On Thursday, Archie Miller, Chris Holtmann, Chris Mack, and John Beilein watched 2018 SF Jerome Hunter, as did Louisville head coach Rick Pitino and a UNC assistant. The building was packed for top-50 center David McCormack, as head coaches from Oklahoma State, Kentucky, N.C. State and Virginia, along with assistants from UNC and others were in attendance. Roy Williams Carolina Insider Podcast Quotes on Recruiting

UNC Basketball coach Roy Williams on the July evaluation period. "This July period is always the most important because the Peach Jam, ---- it's really competition. This July recruiting period is a period I really enjoy --- trying to find out who is going to be able to play for Roy Williams? Who is going to get Roy Williams to feel like he can help him when a game? To me that is the biggest thing." (Carolina Blue)

Zion Williamson’s choice might come earlier than first expected

Zion Williamson hinted he might not wait until after the season to announce his college choice. Williamson said making a decision was high on his to-do list as he entered his senior season at Spartanburg Day. “I just want to win another championship and hopefully pick my college before the season starts so I can get that out of the way,” Williamson said. Scout 2020 Top 15 College Basketball Recruit Rankings

Every year just before the July evaluation periods the basketball recruiting team at Scout.com compiles an initial list, ranking the sophomore class. The player that tops the initial 2020 list is 6-foot-9 power forward Isaiah Todd, of Richmond (Va.) John Marshall. Todd, who played for the USA Basketball u16 team this past June, caught our eye this past spring. (Scout.com)

Coby White, Team CP3 among top storylines headed into Nike Peach Jam

Is this the year for Team CP3? The North Carolina-based squad would have to be on anyone’s shortlist to bring home the Peach Jam crown. Jaylen Hoard (14.9 points, 6.4 rebounds) and Coby White (21.6 points, 3.1 assists, 3.5 rebounds), a UNC commit, give the team dominance on the perimeter, but Team CP3 will have to have answers for bigger teams. Class of 2018 college basketball recruit rankings: New Rivals150 released

By no means am I saying that Marvin Bagley III can’t be beaten out for the top spot, but at least for now the super athletic 6-foot-10 power forward’s hold is a strong one. The real race is for the No. 2 spot that is currently occupied by Zion Williamson. High-scoring North Carolina-bound guard Coby White jumped 38 spots to No. 31 in the updated 2018 recruit rankings. Coach in-depth on UNC commit Coby White

CarolinaBlue went to Greenfield School in Wilson, N.C. to speak with Knights' head basketball coach Rob Salter to get an in-depth perspective of UNC commit Coby White. "Coby is one of the best guards in his class period. He shoots it really well, he gets to the rim, and he has a great mid-range game. He has just scratched his potential. He has a chance to be really special." (Carolina Blue)

July Live Evaluation Period Preview: Class of 2018 recruits to watch

Romeo Langford: This will be an important summer for the 6-foot-4 shooting guard. Langford has the type of talent where he can roll for 40 points, but he can just as easily vanish from a game and become too passive. Zion Williamson: The YouTube superstar has already racked up millions of views. It’s also a summer in which the 6-foot-6 Williamson has to re-prove himself a bit on the national stage. (NBC Sports)

Zion Williamson Returns From Injury, Dunks Everything

Zion Williamson is back. The athletic freak hit the hardwood after taking the last few months off as a precautionary measure with a minor knee injury that he suffered during the spring evaluation period. Taking part in a scrimmage in preparation for this week’s adidas Gauntlet finale in his hometown of Spartanburg, SC, Zion played Saturday with his South Carolina Supreme AAU unit. (SLAM Online)
