Four-star OL Avery Jones commits to UNC

Class of 2018 four-star offensive lineman Avery Jones (Havelock, N.C.) has committed to North Carolina. Jones is a 6-4, 270-pound offensive tackle, but will more than likely move inside at UNC. Jones is UNC's second commit for the 2018 class joining Georgia defensive back Donte Burton. UNC offensive line coach and offensive coordinator Chris Kapilovic led the recruitment of Jones. Ex-LSU QB Brandon Harris is being very selective with his many suitors

6-foot-3, 220-pound Brandon Harris, who has one of the strongest arms in college football and sub-4.6 speed, threw 20 TDs and 10 interceptions to go with 2,756 passing yards and seven rushing touchdowns with LSU. Harris will visit UNC on March 23 and also plans to take trips to see Texas and Arizona but added “if North Carolina blows me away I’ll go to North Carolina.” (FOX Sports)

Grad Transfer Offensive Lineman Cam Dillard Chooses UNC

Florida offensive line graduate transfer Cameron Dillard has decided to continue his playing career at North Carolina, he confirmed to Inside Carolina on Sunday. Dillard, a 6-foot-4, 313-pounder, choose UNC over fellow finalists Arizona. In 2015, Dillard appeared in 13 games for Florida. This past season, he started the first eight games at center, before suffering a season-ending knee injury. (Inside Carolina)

Former LSU quarterback Brandon Harris to visit North Carolina on March 24

Former LSU quarterback Brandon Harris, who announced his intentions to transfer last month, has set up his first official visit. Harris tweeted out his first visit will be on March 24 and later told The Times-Picayune he will visit North Carolina that weekend. He also said he is considering taking visits to Texas and Arizona. Five-star running back Zamir White visiting UNC

The top name upon UNC's star-laden weekend recruit visit list (VIP) is 247Sports Composite five-star running back Zamir White (Laurinburg, N.C./Scotland County). The No. 1 running back in the country and the No. 4 overall prospect in the 2018 class, White has offers from seemingly every major football program in the country. (Carolina Blue)

UNC has a few things going for it in its pursuit of Zamir White.White is from Laurinburg and is surrounded by Carolina fans from a town that has produced quite a few Tar Heels in the past. He grew up a UNC fan and has been to Chapel Hill many times. With the program primed to put two backs into the NFL this year, UNC can sell that it will preserve a back physically. (Rivals.com)

Rivals100 QB Justin Rogers names Top 7, sets visit to UNC

Rivals100 QB Justin Rogers cut his list to seven on Wednesday, TCU, Tennessee, LSU, North Carolina, Harvard, Oregon and Louisville. On North Carolina: “They were here at my first spring practice and offered me and we’ve been building a relationship ever since. I’ll be flying out Friday morning and going there for a visit and I'm looking forward to seeing it." (Rivals.com)

2018 4-Star LB Dax Hollifield Reveals Top 9 Schools

We now have a clearer image of the recruitment of the nation’s No. 3 inside linebacker. On Thursday, 4-star prospect Dax Hollifield took a step forward in his recruitment by revealing his list of top nine schools. In alphabetical order: Alabama, Florida State, LSU, North Carolina, Notre Dame, South Carolina, Stanford, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest. (Campus Insiders)

LSU transfer QB Brandon Harris schedules UNC official visit

Former LSU quarterback and graduate transfer Brandon Harris has scheduled an official visit with the Tar Heels. Harris will visit during the March 24th weekend. UNC is scheduled to hold a spring practice that weekend. The former LSU quarterback has a solid frame at 6-foot-3 and nearly 220 pounds. He was recruited by Fedora and staff for the 2014 class. 2018 four-star LB Payton Wilson releases top 7

Top 2018 LB target Payton Wilson released his top four on Tuesday night and it includes a who's who of college football. The Tar Heels, one of the first schools to offer and conveniently located just miles down the road, made the cut. ACC schools Clemson and Virginia Tech were also included along with the Big Ten's Penn State and Ohio State and the SEC's Alabama and Georgia. (Carolina Blue)

5-Star RB Zamir White Lists UNC in Top 4

Long-time North Carolina running back target Zamir White released a list of top four schools on Monday night, which included Georgia, Alabama, Clemson, and North Carolina. White is the No. 1 running back and the No. 3 overall recruit in the 2018 class. A native of Laurinburg, N.C. White will remain a top target for the Tar Heels throughout the 2018 cycle. Coaches coming to Clemmons to recruit West Forsyth's K.J. Henry

It’s been a whirlwind week with college football coaches coming to West Forsyth to deliver their pitch to K.J. Henry. Henry, a 6-foot-5, 230-pound junior defensive end for the Titans, is being heavily recruited by major powers. Dabo Swinney of the national champion Clemson Tigers visited Clemmons on Wednesday, Larry Fedora of North Carolina visited Henry on Thursday. (Winston-Salem Journal)

‘Two final possibilities’ for ex-LSU QB Brandon Harris’ next home

Brandon Harris confirmed via Twitter over the weekend that he would be transferring from LSU. It was obvious that he had been considering such a decision, because in the hours after he announced his departure, the quarterback already had “two final possibilities” for where he will transfer. Harris acknowledged that North Carolina is one of the schools that have contacted him. (NBC Sports)

Five-star RB Zamir White to visit UNC

According to a CarolinaBlue source, 247Sports Composite five-star running back Zamir White (Laurinburg, N.C./Scotland County) will be at UNC this weekend for an unofficial visit. He is part of a small group of Tar Heels targets who are visiting on Saturday. The visit will include Saturday's basketball game between No. 10 North Carolina and No. 14 Virginia in the Dean Dome. Report: ‘Mutual interest’ between UNC, former LSU QB Brandon Harris

Former 4-star recruit Brandon Harris announced Monday that he is transferring from LSU, and a possible landing spot has already emerged for the former Tigers quarterback. 247Sports’ Brandon Crawford reported Monday that Harris and North Carolina have “mutual interest”.
