Four-star DE Kyree Campbell: "UNC is going to be at the top of my list"

Class of 2016 strong-side defensive end Kyree Campbell was in attendance Saturday as North Carolina defeated Georgia Tech in thrilling fashion. The 6-foot-5, 280-pound prospect enjoyed his visit and places UNC among the top schools on his list. "UNC is going to be at the top of my list," Campbell said. This was the first time the Woodbridge (VA) native, has made it down to UNC even though he has been a fan of the Tar Heels his whole life. (Carolina Blue)

Weekend Football Recruit Scoreboard

Wake Forest running back Bryce Love rushed for three touchdowns (6, 68, and 92 yards) and 186 yards on eight carries. He also had 17 yards in receptions. Charlotte Butler quarterback Anthony Ratliff-Williams rushed for 186 yards and two touchdowns (63 and 67 yards) on 11 carries. He also passed for 117 yards and two scores. Four-star tight end Chris Clark to take official visit to UNC

Class of 2015 tight end Chris Clark posted on twitter that he will be taking an official visit to North Carolina. Clark, who is currently committed to the University of Michigan, verbally committed to UNC on March 16th before eventually de-committing. A 6-foot-6, 247-pound four-star prospect, Clark is the No. 2 tight end and the No. 78 prospect overall in the 2015 class per the 247Sports Composite rankings. (Carolina Blue)

UNC commit Tommy Hatton honored as Under Armour All-American

Tuesday afternoon Tommy Hatton's work ethic, athletic excellence and football success were the topics of discussion at St. Joseph Regional High School in Montvale. Hatton, the No. 4 recruit in the NJ.com Top 50 and fourth-ranked center in the Class of 2015, was honored before his peers and teammates as an Under Armour All-American. The University of North Carolina commit was given his honorary jersey and talked about his dream-come-true moment. (NJ.com)

Three UNC Commits Named To Shrine Bowl

Three UNC verbal commitments have been named to the 78th Annual Shrine Bowl Roster. The North Carolina Shrine Bowl roster will include wide receiver Juval Mollette (Randleman, NC), tight end Carl Tucker (Cornelius, NC), and offensive lineman Mason Veal (Charlotte, NC). The Shrine Bowl will be played on Saturday, December 20 at 1pm in Spartanburg, S.C. (Inside Carolina)

List of football recruits expected for UNC-Virginia Tech

This weekend is shaping up to be a giant weekend for North Carolina recruiting both for the football and basketball teams. With Late Night with Roy on Friday and at 12:30 kickoff against the Virginia Tech Hokies in Kenan Stadium on Saturday, both teams are hosting a number of important recruits. DE Jalen Dalton to visit UNC this weekend

Class of 2015 defensive end Jalen Dalton's 247Sports Crystal Ball was 100% UNC throughout the spring and summer. Starting today, September 30th, there has been a run in Virginia Tech projections for the four-star recruit. Dalton's Crystal Ball currently stands at 73% North Carolina and 27% Virginia Tech. Dalton visited Virginia Tech on September 20th for the Hokies loss to Georgia Tech. Weekend Football Recruit Scoreboard

Wake Forest running back Bryce Love scored three rushing touchdowns (5, 31, 50 yards), plus another on a 56-yard reception. He rushed for 151 yards on 12 carries in a 60-20 defeat of Broughton. Butler quarterback Anthony Ratliff-Williams completed 8-of-11 passes for 191 yards and four touchdowns. He also rushed for 46 yards and a touchdown on three carries in a 66-0 win over Garinger. Shy Tuttle to Vols continues raid on North Carolina

If North Carolina is going to get back on track under head coach Larry Fedora, it's going to need to start protecting its own borders better. On Friday, Shy Tuttle, the No. 1 player in the state according to 247Sports Composite, committed to Tennessee over North Carolina. The decision is a continuation of a growing trend of top North Carolina talent heading elsewhere to play in college. (Carolina Blue)

DT Shy Tuttle Commits to Tennessee

Defensive tackle Shy Tuttle (Lexington, N.C./North Davidson) verbally committed to Tennessee at a press conference at his high school Friday. Tuttle said he chose the Volunteers over North Carolina and North Carolina State because he felt comfortable there. “I like the atmosphere,” Tuttle said of Tennessee. “I have a good relationship with the coaches.” (GoVols247)

CB Javarius Davis decommits from UNC

In a move long expected, Jacksonville (Fla.) Ed White athlete Javarius Davis officially backed off his pledge to North Carolina. The 5-foot-9, 180-pound speedster had been wavering on his commitment for several weeks now with several unofficial visits to Florida recently and planning official visits to Southern California, Michigan and others. The 247Sports Crystal Ball currently has the Gators with 82-percent of the predictions for the three-star prospect. (Carolina Blue)

Shy Tuttle will decide Friday

Shy Tuttle will make his college decision this Friday. The 2015 four-star North Davidson defensive tackle gave Scout.com the latest. He will choose between North Carolina, North Carolina State and Tennessee. ”I’ve been in contact with all three schools a lot and it’s going to be really tough,” said the 6-foot-2, 312-pound Tuttle. “I’m pretty excited, though. It’s a big step in my life. They all have good things to offer and you don’t want to tell a school no, but you have to." (Inside Carolina)
