James Franklin says he’s leaning on his faith as he awaits the chance to return home to Jones County. “Nothing beats home,” he said while sitting outside the Friday Center at UNC-Chapel Hill Friday morning. William Freshwater sat outside the shelter strumming his guitar, trying to maintain a positive attitude. He had to leave his apartment in Chapel Hill due to flooding.
