Former UNC Chancellor Carol Folt named president of the University of Southern California

Carol Folt, UNC's recently departed chancellor, will be the next president of the University of Southern California, a choice underscoring the university’s desire to turn the page on myriad scandals that have defined it in recent years. Folt's appointment was approved by the Board of Trustees on Wednesday morning. She will become USC's first female president.
