No. 21 James Madison Outlasts UNC Softball, 6-3


Despite a two-run home run by Kristina Burkhardt in the seventh inning, No. 21 James Madison prevailed for the 6-3 win over North Carolina on Wednesday evening in Chapel Hill. UNC starting pitcher Alyssa Stanley settled in and struck out a career-high, five batters while also driving in the Tar Heels' first run. Carolina's record is now 6-6 on the season. (GoHeels.com)
