NC State's violations case referred to NCAA's new independent investigation arm

NC State’s NCAA violations case tied to the recruitment of former basketball star Dennis Smith Jr. has been referred to the NCAA's new independent investigation arm, the school said Friday. The NCAA created the Independent Accountability Resolution Process in response to the Rice Commission’s recommendations in 2018 to clean up college basketball.
