UNC's first day of classes will be Aug. 10, final exams to end Nov. 24, Guskiewicz announces


UNC’s first day of class will be August 10, Chancellor Kevin Guskiewicz announced at Thursday’s UNC Board of Trustees meeting. The new start date is eight days before originally planned. Students will complete finals by November 24 then not return to campus until spring semester. Faculty will be asked to prepare for in-person, remote, and hybrid instruction. (Daily Tar Heel)
