Tar Heels golf recruit holds off top-ranked junior to claim AJGA title

A late pair of birdies helped to steady David Ford during the closing stages of the American Junior Golf Association Invitational, and effectively shut the door on the top-ranked junior player in the world. Ford of Peachtree Corners, Ga., who is committed to play in college at UNC, finished with an 8-under-par total of 272 for the four-round tournament. (Fayetteville Observer)
