The loss to Notre Dame last Friday may have eliminated North Carolina from the ACC Championship Game race, although the competitive 31-17 defeat impressed the College Football Playoff selection committee enough to move the Tar Heels up the rankings and put a New Year’s Six bowl game within reach.
