Michigan athletics will shut down for the 14 days beginning Sunday because of confirmed cases of the COVID-19 variant, B.1.1.7, which transmits more easily and can lead to more positive cases. That’s in accordance with an order from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services made Saturday, the Michigan athletic department said. (Detroit News)
