In its nearly 40 years of business, Crook’s Corner, and the people who worked at the restaurant, left an indelible legacy on North Carolina, one that continues to influence the way we eat across the American South. If you ever ate at Crook’s, sliding into the wide booths or bellying up to the Lucite bar, you probably had an order of the shrimp and grits.
