Holiday Bowl matches No. 15 Oregon vs. North Carolina for game’s Petco Park debut

The 2022 Holiday Bowl announcement was delayed almost an hour. But what was another 60 minutes for bowl officials who haven’t had a game in three years? They are hoping the first Holiday Bowl since 2019 is the charm, with North Carolina and Oregon invited to San Diego for the 43rd (mostly) annual game, which makes its Petco Park debut Dec. 28.
