UNC public health researchers receive $6M+ grant to fight infectious diseases

Two researchers from the University of North Carolina Gillings School of Global Public Health have been awarded a grant for more than $6 million to accelerate the development of a promising new drug in the fight against deadly coronaviruses. Ralph S. Baric, PhD, professor, and Timothy Sheahan, PhD, research assistant professor, are co-principal investigators for the grant.
