Duke basketball lands Rice transfer guard Cameron Sheffield

Former Rice guard Cameron Sheffield committed to Duke and head basketball coach Jon Scheyer on Thursday afternoon. The 6-foot-6 junior originally from Alpharetta, Georgia did not play last season due to injury. During the 2022-23 season, Sheffield averaged 7.6 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 1.3 assists while shooting 43% from the field and 37% from three. (On3.com)

Duke Transfer Guard Jaden Schutt Commits To Virginia Tech

Virginia Tech received a commitment from Duke guard Jaden Schutt on Saturday. The 6-foot-5, 190-pound redshirt sophomore spent two seasons with the Blue Devils. He played in 14 games as a freshman in 2022-23 and averaged 2.1 points while making seven of his 20 3-point attempts. He was a top-75 prospect in the high school class of 2022. (Tech Sideline)

Former Michigan basketball signee Khani Rooths commits to Louisville

Khani Rooths is off the board and has committed to Louisville and new head basketball coach Pat Kelsey. The 6-foot-8 small forward from IMG Academy (FL) previously signed with Michigan but reopened his recruitment after the school parted ways with coach Juwan Howard. Virginia basketball picks up San Diego State forward Elijah Saunders

Just hours after TJ power committed, the Virginia Cavaliers nabbed another one from the transfer portal in San Diego State forward Elijah Saunders. Saunders brings athleticism while maintaining versatility as an offensive threat. In his sophomore season at San Diego State, he played roughly 20 minutes per game averaging 6.2 points and 3.8 rebounds. (Streaking the Lawn)

Charleston transfer guard Kobe Rodgers commits to Louisville

Former College of Charleston guard Kobe Rodgers has committed to the Louisville Cardinals via the NCAA Transfer Portal, per Jeff Goodman. Rodgers only spent one year at Charleston and will now reunite with head coach Pat Kelsey, who took over Louisville this offseason. According to Goodman, Rodgers is expected to redshirt this season. McDonald's All American point guard Trent Perry commits to UCLA

Senior guard Trent Perry, a McDonald's All American and the highest-ranked uncommitted prospect in the 2024 class, has committed to UCLA. He's a 6-foot-4 player from North Hollywood who ranks No. 27 overall in the ESPN 100 and as the No. 5 point guard in the class. Georgia Tech hoops lands Colorado transfer Luke O'Brien

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets basketball added another key piece for the 2024-25 season with the commitment of guard/wing Luke O'Brien from Colorado via the transfer portal. O'Brien gives the Yellow Jackets length at the guard and wing spots and a knockdown three-point shooter that is needed for Damon Stoudamire's offense as it moves into year two. (Jackets Online)

2024 point guard Ben Hammond Commits To Virginia Tech

On Monday, Virginia Tech and Mike Young received a commitment from Ben Hammond, a point guard in the class of 2024. A 5-foot-11, 165-pound prospect from Fairfax, Va., Hammond previously signed with Rhode Island but reopened his recruitment on April 16. Clemson men's basketball lands Duke transfer Christian Reeves

Clemson basketball landed its third transfer of the offseason, and this time, it's a former 4-star center out of Duke. Seven-foot-one center Christian Reeves announced a commitment to Clemson on Thursday. Reeves picked Clemson over Oklahoma, Florida and Vanderbilt. He joins Cincinnati's Viktor Lakhin (6-11 C) and BC's Jaeden Zackery (6-2 G) in the transfer class (TigerNet)

DePaul transfer Churchill Abass commits to Wake Forest

Wake Forest wasn’t done in transfer portal additions after just one on Saturday. A few hours after Ty-Laur Johnson’s announcement, Churchill Abass’ commitment to the Deacons was announced. Abass is a 6-9, 250-pound forward/center who played as a freshman at DePaul last season. He played in 30 of 32 games and averaged 3.9 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. (Deacons Illustrated)
