Errors Costly As Diamond Heels Fall at Duke in Series Opener

While No. 7 North Carolina’s numbers at home have been amazing, it’s been a different story on the road. That didn’t change Thursday. No. 11 Duke took advantage of three costly UNC errors to prevail 5-3 in an intense battle at Jack Coombs Field, befitting the rivalry. UNC Baseball Duo Named Semifinalists For Dick Howser Trophy

UNC outfielder and pitcher have been named semifinalists for the Dick Howser Trophy, which is given to the top player in collegiate baseball based on two rounds of national voting by NCBWA members.
