Ranee Premji Named Tar Heel Performer of the Week
Ranee Premji, a junior midfielder from Calgary, Alberta, had been named the Tar Heel Performer of the Week for August 15-21, 2011. Premji's goal with 13:27 remaining in the second half proved to be the game-winner as the Tar Heels edged Nebraska 2-1 in Carolina's season opener at Lincoln, Neb. on August 19. (
