UNC alum John Skipper to head ESPN


John Skipper's dream job at ESPN got bigger Tuesday. The Walt Disney Co., parent company of ESPN, has named Skipper, a Lexington native and a UNC Chapel Hill graduate, as its president, effective Jan. 1. He also will serve as co-chairman of Disney Media Networks. (Winston-Salem Journal)
