Carolina Takes Thirteenth at Mercedes-Benz Women's Championship

Junior Lauren Hunt led the way for the Tar Heels carding an even-par 72 to move up from 32nd to a tie for 21st. Hunt finished the tournament at eight-over par and like the Heels improved in every round. Senior Laura Caniff finished just two back of Hunt in a tie for 34th. Sophomore Kate Thomas was the next Tar Heel finisher at 11-over par in a tie for 37th.
